The Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), an institute that improves workforce productivity and bottom-line results within corporations, has announced that Marshall Goldsmith, a world-renowned author on leadership and coach to corporate CEOs and senior executives, has been appointed chairman emeritus.
Goldsmith — whose book, “What Got You Here Won't Get You There,” is the No. 1 best-selling business book in
America — is a world authority in helping successful leaders get even better by achieving positive change in behavior for themselves, their people and their teams.
As chairman emeritus, Goldsmith will help guide i4cp's mission to improve workforce productivity for its corporate members — more than half of which are Fortune 500 companies.
“I'm delighted to be associated with i4cp and their focus on improving orporate productivity, a topic that's near and dear to my heart and, of course, to the senior executives I coach today and have coached in the past,” Goldsmith said. “I commend the individuals who started i4cp — namely, Kevin Oakes, Debbie McGrath and Jay Jamrog — for creating a research-based network that provides some of the world's leading organizations with access to cutting-edge information on human capital issues and a forum to assist each other.”
Recently, the American Management Association named Goldsmith as one of 50 great thinkers and leaders who have influenced management over the past 80 years, and BusinessWeek listed him as one of the most influential practitioners in the history of leadership development.
In 2005, he was recognized as a Fellow of the National
Academy of Human Resources — the highest award for an HR professional — and recognized in BusinessWeek as one of 50 great leaders in the United States.
His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal (as one of the top 10 executive educators), The Economist (as one of the most credible consultants in the new era of business), Forbes (as one of five most-respected executive coaches), Fast Company (as America's preeminent executive coach), Harvard Business Review, Business Strategy Review and The New Yorker.
“We're delighted to have Marshall Goldsmith join us as our chairman emeritus and lend some of his vast experience to our growing company,” said Kevin Oakes, i4cp CEO. “Marshall is clearly one of the brightest
minds in corporate America today, and his track record speaks volumes.
“I think the entire i4cp membership will benefit from Marshall's influence.”
