The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), an IT industry trade association with more than 22,000 member companies in more than 100 countries around the world, serves as the voice of the world’s IT industry. CompTIA is committed to advancing the long-term success and growth of the IT industry by helping organizations maximize the benefits they receive from their investments in technology; and by helping individuals obtain the skills and credentials they need for productive careers in IT. The VP of Education and Training will provide strategic direction, industry leadership and direction for the association’s education and training activities.
Duties include: Develop and align education and training strategies within CompTIA’s overall strategy and create and execute the strategic plan for CompTIA to become the conduit of information and advocate for the reseller community; develop and implement CompTIA University to become the industry’s resource for the Reseller community; identify business education needs within the membership and IT supply chain; provide leadership to enhance our training product offerings (CLA, CAQC) CompTIA Press, Skills Assessment); and provide leadership and support to our educational and training events (Colloquium, Channel Education Summit, Colloquium EMEA, Certification Leadership Summit).
Requirements: Advanced degree preferred, with seven to ten years in managing corporate or association based education programming; knowledge of channel/partner educational activities desirable; excellent communication and organization skills;
