NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. (“NMHG”) designs, engineers and manufactures materials handling equipment for virtually every market niche, including warehouse trucks, counterbalanced trucks and large capacity cargo and container handling trucks. All lift trucks are marketed under the Hyster®, Yale® or Sumitomo-Yale® brand names. NMHG is one of the world’s largest lift truck manufacturers. In addition to a worldwide distribution network of independent Hyster® and Yale® retail dealerships, NMHG operates wholly-owned dealerships in certain markets.
This position is located in Greenville, NC.
The incumbent in this role will lead the design and development of all curriculum, events, and e-learning/multimedia for Performance Learning Services (PLS). In this capacity, they will manage all needs assessment activities, instructional design, development, revision and departmental project management.
Additionally, this person will lead a team of associates, consultants, and outside vendors dedicated to the projects being developed and implemented. This includes making critical decisions regarding money, time, and other resources. The incumbent will be responsible for development projects within Performance Learning Services. These include: All existing and all future Education/Performance Improvement interventions developed for Hyster/Yale dealers. These projects are significant in their scope and will have great impact on strategic planning, budget, dealer performance and the reputation of the Performance Learning Services (PLS). The incumbent will also be responsible for leading a team in the design and development of school curriculum (i.e., Learning Objectives, Design documents, Participant Guides and materials, Facilitator Guides, Job Aids, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
BS degree plus 7 years of managerial level instructional design, development and/or facilitating experience.
Experience must include consulting/training with businesses.
Prefer candidates with training experience in a dealer network environment.
