Strayer University has announced the appointment of Randi Reich Cosentino as its provost and chief academic officer.
After holding several key leadership positions at Strayer for more than a decade, Reich Cosentino now will oversee the academic programs for the university and its four schools — School of Business, School of Information Systems and Technology, School of Education and School of Arts and Sciences.
As provost and chief academic officer, Reich Cosentino will lead curriculum development, instructional design and academic administration. She also will manage the departments of student affairs, institutional research and the registrar’s office.
Reich Cosentino has worked on behalf of both academics and management at Strayer since 2001. She has led academic program development for Strayer’s global online division, nationwide corporate on-site programs and has managed academic quality at many campuses across the U.S.
She most recently served as the senior vice president of academic administration and senior vice provost for Texas, Utah, the global online division and corporate partnership programs nationwide, overseeing academic quality, faculty hiring and overall administration.
She also has held other positions at Strayer, including interim provost, vice president of product management and adjunct faculty member teaching business courses.
Prior to joining Strayer, Reich Cosentino co-founded and managed business and strategic development for Mascot Network, an application service provider serving the higher education market. She also served as the assistant director of the Office of Transportation in New York City under Mayor Rudy Giuliani and worked in the Urban Fellows Program, which introduces college students and recent graduates to local government and public service.
