Spring 2013 Chief Learning Officer Symposium Wraps Up in Austin

Austin, Texas, March 20, 2013 — Author Jason Jennings shares secrets of extraordinary leadership in closing keynote.

During an inspiring closing keynote today at the Spring 2013 Chief Learning Officer Symposium, researcher and best-selling author Jason Jennings revealed five leadership secrets shared by people at the top of the world’s fastest, most productive, most innovative and best growth companies.

Drawing on years of screening and studying more than 200,000 companies for his string of best-selling business books, including his latest title, The Reinventors — How Extraordinary Companies Pursue Radical Continuous Change, Jennings challenged Symposium attendees to adopt breakout leadership strategies and transform their learning organizations into something extraordinary.

Jennings’ remarks concluded the three-day meeting hosted by Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas. The event attracted more than 300 chief learning officers, corporate executives, human capital management experts, and learning and development professionals from around the world to examine new techniques, technology and tools for delivering accessible learning to a diverse and dispersed global workforce.

The evening preceding the Symposium, Chief Learning Officer magazine also hosted a pre-conference gala to recognize 52 organizations named to the 2013 CLO LearningElite. During the event, sponsored by Bellevue University, getAbstract and Procter & Gamble, the final rankings in the prestigious LearningElite benchmarking program were unveiled. Top honors went to AT&T, which was joined in the top 5 by McDonald’s USA LLC, UPS, Jiffy Lube International and Procter & Gamble Distributing LLC.
