More moms are staying home with their children, reversing a decades-long trend, according to a new report profiled in The Wall Street Journal this week.

According to a report from the Pew Research Center, in 2012, 29 percent of all mothers with children under age 18 stayed at home, a figure that has steadily risen since 1999, when 23 percent of mothers were stay-at-home. The share of stay-at-home moms had been dropping since 1967, when about half of all moms stayed home, the Journal reported Tuesday.
