The Who and Why of the CLO Symposium
If you’re on the fence about attending the upcoming Spring 2015 Symposium, then let me help you make a decision. Today we’ll be tackling reasons why you should definitely come to the symposium, and what kind of professionals will reap the most benefits from attending.
Who should be attending the CLO Symposium?
Most conferences push the limits of attendance and are driven by ticket sales, but the CLO Symposium actually strives to keep our attendance at around 350 people. We’re not just trying to be exclusive when we say we limit the number of attendees. In fact, there’s method to our madness.
Bigger groups can create a lot of noise, so the CLO Symposium has always endeavored to keep the numbers smaller and the crowd more manageable. We want to create an involved community that promotes discussion and learning. Our goal is to enhance the experience of our attendees by facilitating networking opportunities amongst L&D professionals.
This conference was created for and caters to C-suite and executive level professionals who work consistently in learning and development within their organizations. These learning leaders’ responsibilities include planning, authorizing, or funding enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives.
HOWEVER, we also welcome attendees who are seeking greater knowledge in the learning and development fields, and many of our guests are director-level HR professionals, talent management leaders, or corporate executives with a desire to broaden their horizons.

The CLO Symposium is, above all other things, a community for learning leaders. Our intent is to offer a conference where high level learning and development professionals can come together to acquire new knowledge, skills, and discuss new tactics and trends within the L&D field.
