SkyPrep, Bridge and Litmos LMS Top User-Friendly LMS List

Top 20 LMSs according to Capterra.

co_1026_fte_origSkyPrep, Bridge and Litmos LMS top this fall’s ranking of the Top 20 Most User-Friendly LMS Software, according to Capterra, an online enterprise software directory.

Whether a learning organization is switching their LMS or buying one for the first time, it represents a significant investment. The easier a system is to use, the more likely it is that employees and/or students will want to use it, said Capterra Director of Product Research Kaitie Connolly.

Providers were measured by a combination of usability, customer service and customer reviews. According to Rachel Willie, senior product research specialist at Capterra, while all of 20 of the providers ranked had an average task time between 30 seconds and one minute and an average click rate of 20 or lower, there were some major differences including: the number of services each vendor provided to help with implementation issues, and the number of tasks each system could complete, which was found to closely mirror the number of core features each LMS offers.

The rankings, listed alphabetically, are as follows:

  • Absorb LMS
  • Aktiv Mind LMS
  • Bridge
  • CANVAS
  • DigitalChalk
  • Docebo
  • eFront
  • eLeaP
  • Firmwater LMS
  • KMI LMS
  • Learn Upon
  • Lesson.ly
  • Litmos LMS
  • Mindflash Online Training
  • Paradiso LMS
  • SkyPrep
  • Talent LMS
  • TOPYX
  • Torch LMS
  • Velpic

Connolly said the best advice she’d give someone in the market for an LMS is to first clearly define their specific needs. “After that, start the research by demoing and trialing multiple solutions and asking lots of questions. Take advantage of the LMS companies’ customer support teams — they’re there to help.”
