Read the full transcript of Horn’s interview below:

Leadership through learning, to me, means that we as learning leaders have every responsibility and obligation to be role modeling what we are putting out for the rest of the organization. This is a classic practice what you preach recommendation. If we are trying to build and evolve learning cultures, and we are trying to help our organization stay at the forefront of today and tomorrow, then we need to be doing the same for ourselves.

We need to be getting deep into the neuroscience of learning. We need to be getting deep into the power of habits. We need to be getting deep into the concept of the holistic learner: heart, mind, body and soul. And we need to be doing this in the backdrop of our business. We have to be smart about the businesses that we support, whether they’re for-profit or non-for-profit organizations, and we need to force ourselves to stay right at the forefront of where our businesses are going, where our industries our are going and where the learning industry is going in general.
