People are comfortably quitting their jobs, with confidence that a warming economy will provide them better opportunity elsehwere.
A Harris poll of roughly 1,500 unemployed individuals found that about one-fifth decided to quit their jobs, propelled by an improved economy and tighter labor market, reports The Wall Street Journal. The poll was conducted in April and commissioned by staffing form Express Employment Professionals.
Additionally, the Journal reports that a similar poll last year found that 15 percent of respondents had quit their jobs, while unemployed people who reported they were laid off dropped to 28 percent this year from 36 percent in 2014.
