2023 CLO Symposium: Day 3 Recap

A brief recap of Day 3 of the 2023 CLO Symposium, held in San Diego.

The third and final day of the 2023 CLO Symposium — held in San Diego this year — began early with a networking breakfast, followed by a CLO PowerHour which focused on the journey to lifelong learning and powering the workforce of tomorrow.

Learning leaders and executives Ashley Patterson, assistant vice president of enterprise trading and talent management for Grange Insurance, Kevin Wilde, executive leadership fellow for Carlson School of Management, and Shannon Bellafiore, global head of customer engagement, education services, customer services for Siemens Healthineers, discussed how technology and culture can sustain the future of work.

Attendees spent the rest of the morning at workshops focused on an updated measurement strategy for formal and informal learning and how to cultivate new pathways for internal mobility.

Sessions concluded with a keynote address from Kamales Lardi, chief executive officer for Lardi & Partner Consulting, and final words from Ashley St. John, CLO’s editor-in-chief and chief content officer. During her keynote, Lardi discussed the future of business and how digital and learning mindsets will become the center point of surviving and thriving in the digital economy.
