Finalists Announced for Coveted Learning and Development Industry Honors

Chief Learning Officer magazine names short list
for 2014 Learning In Practice Awards

Chicago, Aug. 21, 2014 — Finalists for the 2014 Learning In Practice Awards have been announced by Chief Learning Officer magazine.

Considered one of the highest honors in the workforce development field, the Learning In Practice Awards recognize industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee education programs.

The finalists named to the short list will receive either the gold, silver or bronze award in their respective categories at a special awards dinner at the Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium. Practitioner awards recognize chief learning officers and qualified senior learning executives for their leadership in developing and executing enterprise education initiatives. Provider awards recognize qualified service providers, vendors and consultants for their work on behalf of a client organization. In addition, each year one outstanding learning executive is singled out to receive the prestigious CLO of the Year honor — the industry equivalent of a lifetime achievement award.

“The Learning In Practice awards were launched 11 years ago to call attention to the individuals and organizations that not only raise the bar for workforce development but also raise awareness of its power as a business driver and competitive advantage,” said Mike Prokopeak, editor-in-chief of Human Capital Media Group, which publishes Chief Learning Officer magazine. “This year’s finalists — selected from a field of more than 200 worthy applicants nominated by their peers — represent truly transformational corporate education.”
