Tampa, Fla. — June 12
Villanova University is sending its public administrations program online.
The program, which has a long and distinguished history at Villanova, is designed to prepare students to lead and manage across local/state/federal governments, non-governmental organizations (NGO) and the nonprofit sector.
With enrollment now underway and classes beginning in August, current applicants can be among the first to experience the interactive MPA program, which is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).
Students enrolling in Villanova’s online MPA program follow the same curriculum and earn the same degree as on-campus students, studying at their own pace to accommodate their busy schedules.
Through video-based and live, interactive virtual classes powered by University Alliance, Villanova’s partner in online learning, students gain advanced knowledge and learn from experts in the field. To further promote student success, the program also has student chapters of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society (PAA).
With courses in strategic planning, management in the public and nonprofit sectors, organizational effectiveness, leadership ethics, finance, public personnel and others, the MPA program aims to prepare students for a variety of careers.
Whether they’re managing a department or an entire city, serving in the military or leading fundraising programs for a nonprofit — an area expected to add 43 percent more employees this year — the MPA can aim to help them achieve new levels of success.
