Philadelphia — May 1

AlliedBarton Security Services has announced the opening of the AlliedBarton/Drexel University Learning Center on Drexel’s campus in Philadelphia.

The new center is designed to provide convenient access to computers and study areas for continuous e-Learning opportunities through the AlliedBarton EDGE, the company’s approach to training and development.

AlliedBarton security officers assigned to Drexel University and other locations in University City and West Philadelphia will have access to the Learning Center.

“We strive to make our e-Learning and other training components accessible and convenient for our security officers,” said Ronald Rabena, division president, AlliedBarton. “By providing this new Learning Center, our officers will have additional access to the EDGE curriculum to continue their learning and development and be better prepared for promotions and leadership positions.”

The AlliedBarton EDGE provides the tools necessary to E – Educate, D – Develop, G – Grow and E – Engage. The key to the AlliedBarton EDGE is the implementation of a structured career path to engage and prepare employees for additional responsibilities and future opportunities.

AlliedBarton will look to expand the AlliedBarton-Drexel University Learning Center’s use in the future to provide greater access to Drexel’s Public Safety Officers and AlliedBarton security officers living in the West Philadelphia community, as well as expanding e-Learning computer programs geared to specific disciplines of security work.
