Direct Learning From Dad

Since Father’s Day is this Sunday, Chief Learning Officer asked learning leaders: What life lessons drawn from your child or father have you been able to pass on to your team or workforce?

“My dad was one of the greatest teachers I’ve ever known mainly because he did more through effective modeling than words. With that said I guess the greatest ‘words of wisdom’ he ever gave me that I’ve tried my best to pass along is to live a life of honesty, integrity and service, even when it’s hard or hurts.”

Bob Mosher, global learning and strategy evangelist, LearningGuide Solutions USA

“My teenage daughter Sarah has reminded me about learning and great managers. Her enjoyment and passion for learning in school is quite connected to the skill and dedication of her teachers. As much as I try to coach her to be a self-motivated learner — as we all get good teachers and bad teachers in life — the teacher really matters. And in work, the immediate boss really matters.”
