Groundbreaking Conference to Tackle Talent Issues Facing Federal Workforce

Meeting brings public and private sector human capital leaders together for the first time

Chicago, Nov. 28, 2011— Dates were announced today for a groundbreaking new conference and tradeshow that will bring public and private sector human capital management executives together for the first time to discuss critical talent issues facing the nation’s employers. Talent Strategies DC, developed by the Human Capital Media Group of MediaTec Publishing, with the cooperation of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), is slated for May 21 -22, 2012, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

“While there is no shortage of conferences and professional events targeted specifically to either government and military HR executives or the corporate, Talent Strategies DC is unique,” said Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief of MediaTec’s Human Capital Media Group publications. “It is the only human capital management conference to offer the convergence of public and private sector thought on one of the most important challenges facing American businesses today.”

At Talent Strategies DC, public sector and corporate human capital management professionals will be able to exchange thoughts and best practices on developing and implementing an integrated human capital strategy. Covering a wide range of issues, including recruitment and retention, performance management, leadership development and diversity and inclusion, the agenda will feature workshops, panel discussions, keynote addresses by industry thought leaders, tradeshow exhibits, as well as ample opportunities for networking and peer-to-peer interaction.

Talent Strategies DC is the newest conference developed by the editors of MediaTec Publishing’s Human Capital Media Group (HCM) publications — Chief Learning Officer, Talent Management and Diversity Executive magazines. For nearly a decade, HCM has produced executive-level conferences for human capital management professionals. The twice-yearly Chief Learning Officer Symposium is widely recognized as the premier gathering of corporate workforce development professionals, while its annual Talent Strategies conferences serve the needs of a wider group of talent managers, learning professionals, and diversity and inclusion leaders. Leadership Excellence magazine ranks MediaTec’s conferences as the best leadership development events in the United States.
