About Brenda Sugrue

Brenda Sugrue is the Global Chief Learning Officer for EY, a professional services firm with over 260,000 employees. She provides strategic direction and leadership of learning operations and curriculum globally. In previous roles, Brenda led learning, innovation, and research programs at IBM, ITT Corporation, Kaplan, the Association of Talent Development (ATD), and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She was a professor of Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Iowa, and founded an e-learning software company. Throughout her career Brenda has championed evidence-based practice in learning. She translates learning science into scalable processes and systems for designing, delivering and measuring learning.
