About Chun Lu

Chun Lu was born in China, graduated from University of Regina with a master’s degree in human resource management in Regina, Canada. Since, Lu has worked as an HR business partner for the City of Bellevue, Washington (U.S.), T-Mobile (U.S.), Microsoft China (Beijing), and Microsoft (Washington). Lu has passion in driving business value and impact through HR partnership with leaders, managers and employees. Lu is the co-founder of the Microsoft LEAP Apprenticeship program launched in 2015. Since then, Lu has led the team to develop a LEAP Talent as a Service framework to recruit, develop, upskill nontraditional talent with employability into technology industry worldwide. The program offers a 16-week immersive apprenticeship for people who have a base foundation of technical training, and combines in-classroom learning with hands-on engineering projects at Microsoft. The Microsoft LEAP program is seeking candidates who are passionate about technology and offer diverse perspectives.
