About Vikas Joshi

Dr. Vikas Joshi is a business leader keen on creating software products that make a difference. A key part of that mission is to inspire technology professionals and entrepreneurs to grow and develop.

As founder and CEO, Vikas leads Harbinger Group, a global provider of software products and
services since 1990. Harbinger helps tech companies in building enterprise software products. It
builds software solutions leveraging digital technologies for HR, education and high-tech. For
e-learning and digital publishing users, the firm markets its innovative products and provides custom content solutions.

Vikas is an e-learning expert holding two U.S. patents for his inventions in education technology at
Harbinger. He is passionate about innovation and supports product development and technology
entrepreneurship. His research in entrepreneurship addressing the co-evolution of technology firms and founders and showing how entrepreneurs learn and develop has been honored by the American Educational Research Association. As a writer, speaker and educator, he is sought-after business management thought leader in the industry.

Vikas holds a Doctorate Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Harvard Business School alum and has earned a master’s degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University. Earlier, he studied Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay. Vikas prefers catching up on books, movies and music while he divides his time between Silicon Valley and Pune, India.
